Driveways and paths are the concrete everyone sees, every day. We pump plain, coloured and exposed-aggregate mixes with the steady, even feed that decorative finishes demand — over fences, around established gardens and down side runs, without a wheelbarrow track through your lawn.
Why pump a driveway instead of barrowing it?
A typical double driveway is 15–25 cubic metres of concrete. Moved by barrow, that's hundreds of trips, hours of extra labour, and concrete at the far end that's older and stiffer than concrete at the truck — which shows in the finish. Pumped, the whole pour lands in a fraction of the time at consistent workability, your finishers work fresh concrete from start to finish, and nothing heavier than a hose crosses your property.
Decorative mixes raise the stakes further. Exposed aggregate needs uniform stone distribution, which means a smooth continuous feed — surging and stop-start pumping segregate the mix and it shows when the surface is washed. Coloured concrete can't tolerate contamination from a dirty line. Our operators run clean gear and steady rates because they know exactly what the finished surface has to look like.
We also pump crossovers, footpaths, alfresco areas, porch slabs and garden paths — often combined with a driveway pour on the same visit, which saves you money on the pump hire.
Working in finished landscapes
Driveway and path jobs usually happen at lived-in homes, not bare construction sites. Fences are up, gardens are established, and the client is home watching. This is where line pumping shines: we route the line to protect what's already there, put down protection at pivot points, and wash out into our own containment — never into your garden bed or the street gutter.

Driveways & Paths FAQs
Can you pump exposed aggregate without segregating it?
Yes — it's about line size, mix design and a smooth feed rate. We pump exposed ag every week across Melbourne and our operators know how to keep the stone distributed evenly.
The driveway is at the back of the block. Is that a problem?
No. Long line runs are routine — we carry extra pipeline on every truck and quote the run length accurately up front.
Do I need to be home on pour day?
Someone who can make decisions should be reachable, but if your concreter is running the job, that's them. We coordinate directly with whoever is finishing the concrete.
How small a job will you pump?
We have a minimum hire, but small path and porch pours are often worth pumping anyway once you count labour saved. Ask — we'll give you an honest answer if barrowing is genuinely cheaper.
